The studio is a Brussels based office established in London in 2016 and relocated in Belgium in 2017. It focuses on social housing, the transformation of existing buildings, and art integration within public contexts in Brussels, London, and Paris.

Our work reflects an attitude to value the existing fabric by transforming and reinterpreting it, with an underlying sustainable approach. We investigate social contexts and  build models as a methodology to rethink current situations.

There is a strong belief that collaboration is key in developping projects with both the local, and multi-disciplinary collaborators. The projects shown illustrate fruitful collaborations with practices: AHA, Barbara Thüler, Charles Bédin, Antoine Espinasseau, AltstadtnoA, SBa, KSA, Caruso St JohnLéa Mayer, Evelyne de Behr, Wolfgang Bregentzer, Majma, Delphine Roque architecte, Studio Otamendi, V+ ...

The side atelier studiœmile developed as a collective about the construction of objects and installations aims to keep alive our connection to the materials we build with.

Current collaborators : Gautier Rey, Francois Gena, Elisabeth d’Aubarède, Daniele Martini and Natalia Vacheishvili
